![]() Be advised however, the inertia from a ram can cause serious uncontrolled spins, that can not only cause you to crash but leave you as an easy target against enemy aircraft. Some rams can end with neither side being killed, and instead modules, such as the fuselage and wings, will turn black. ![]() Also, most biplanes, given they have extra wings, are very durable and can often survive multiple hits. The early Spitfires can also prove to be resilient, as some rams can hit the wing, yet leave the Spitfire generally undamaged and able to return to an airfield and repair. The F4F Wildcats can sustain a head-on ram, though doing so is not advised. Some aircraft in War Thunder are known to be quite durable against ramming. Seeing as they are larger targets it's easier to shear off a wing or the tail. With that, one or both of the airplanes are destroyed, but in some cases, one or both aircraft may only suffer minor or no damage at all.Īir ramming is widely regarded as the most despicable battle tactic, due to both pilots being killed and no rewards earned by either side. ![]() This often occurs when two aircraft meet head-on and neither is willing to turn away. You fly your aircraft at your enemy and collide with them. Of course, I have RB mostly and the times I do use AB, the kamikazes don't annoy me, however, I do think that the rewards for actually surviving with your aircraft should be a lot more, so you don't get pilots just crashing their planes to get back to their tanks faster. The most common form of ramming is air ramming. I mean, I love the fact that War Thunder has them. I guess I don't really have much issues with fighters. Bombers and attackers are usually big targets, it's hard to miss them. It's not the same as tanks where you not only have to watch out for enemy tanks, but you go slower as well. Aircraft are able to not only spot you since they get a huge view of everything on the ground, but in arcade are able to ram into you with 0 downside. That's why this is a team game, not 1 person vs 15. You could easily get flanked by a tank you didn't see coming because your team left a wide hole you didn't see.
